Keto For Carb Lovers- Delish Editors
The food in this particular cookbook is so delicious, and everything is made from scratch. You won’t find a lot of prepackaged food being used in this particular recipe book.
This stuff will have you rethinking the carb life- people who stated they were addicted to carbs said that it took them just a little time before they began to realize they could do without them, all thanks to this book!
There are colorful photographs throughout the book that will inspire you to create these recipes, even if yours comes out looking less than similar to the one in the book. You are going to love the variety involved here.
Probably our favorite recipe was the keto pizza with the cauliflower crust. You just can’t say no to pizza, and now you don’t have to- you can enjoy it right at home the keto-friendly way. I also recommend you try Perfect Keto’s recipe for coconut flour pizza crust, too.
The only “con” we could find is that the recipes are a bit time consuming, as many of us are busy folks with limited cooking time. Aside from that, this one’s a keeper.
Why We Chose It
Um, hello! Carbs? Yes, please! But we know carbs are the enemy when we are trying to get into ketosis. This cookbook is a friendly way for people who love carbs to get the tastes they want but keep up that keto lifestyle.
We put it at the top because people who are interested in keto but are nervous about the carb thing can see that it’s easy to make food that is tasty and keto-friendly!
Keto Cookbook for Beginners: Quick & Easy Recipes on a Budget
What a great cookbook for a little money! For just $12 at the time of this writing, you get access to 800 amazing recipes that are inexpensive, and your family will love them. This is ideal for people who would like to get into keto but are afraid of what their family might think.
This makes it, so your family will love what you make, and you don’t spend a bundle on the lifestyle.
For example, think about the Spinach and Cheese Stuffed Chicken Breasts. These are so good, and everyone in your family will love eating them- and you don’t have to come out of ketosis! Spinach, chicken breasts and cheese are available in the most basic of grocery stores.
The whole cookbook is like that- simple, easy to follow, and composed of ingredients you can find at the local market.
One thing we did NOT like about this book is the lack of photographs and illustrations. It is nice to have the paperback on hand, but the lack of photo evidence by which to compare your creation is a pain.
Why We Chose It
Beginners? Check.
Easy? Check.
Quick? Check.
This is great for keto veterans, too. We essentially chose it because we just wanted everyone to have access to keto recipes and get into the lifestyle in a way that’s easy and fast and appeals to all family members.

The Ultimate Guide to Keto Baking- Carolyn Ketchum
I love baking with Perfect Keto’s MCT Oil Powder, so when I found this gem of a cookbook, I had to have it. Great purchase, too- this stuff gets you all the treats and baked goodies you want without sacrificing great taste.
This recipe book has things you thought you might only eat once a year or during family gatherings: Tiramisu, rum cake, and whoopee pies are a few of the offerings this cookbook has.
I am the one now making Keto rum cake and bringing it to family gatherings. The family loves the taste, and people even go back for seconds!
Everything can be enjoyed when you do it in moderation, and as somebody with a real sweet tooth, this book is a blessing. Twelve chapters chock full of awesome recipes can be yours.
You won’t know what you want to make first. You Can not only make sweets like cakes and cookies, but there are recipes for keto-friendly bread, too.
Just remember this: To do keto baking, you have to be ready to buy some ingredients that you likely can’t find in the shops such as Xylitol or Erythritol. Granted, you can get this stuff online, but you have to be ready to do some extra shopping.
But rest assured, it’s so worth it!
Why We Chose It
Sweets are a part of life. Somebody’s having a birthday or a baby shower, or retirement party. You don’t want to miss out on the sweets, and now you don’t have to!
Be the change you want to see. Offer to bring the gang a tasty Tiramisu or a delicious keto pie. You can safely enjoy the treat, and your party-goers will just love it.
The Dirty, Lazy Keto Cookbook – William and Stephanie Laska
The woman behind the cookbook lost 140 lbs drinking lite beer, eating chocolate, and having fun.
But how?
Well, she didn’t play by the rules, that’s why. That’s all these recipes- they bend the dieting rules that dictate no sweets, no pizza, and no fun.
This recipe book contains a total of 100 awesome recipes that taste sinful but are actually great for you in your keto journey. Some highlights include two-step pizza, and “Debauchery Chocolate Brownies.”
Yes, your mouth is watering, no, I am not judging. The cookbook is also divided up into categories most of us can relate to- you will smile at sections with titles like “Budget Friendly” and “Fancy Enough For Guests.”
This is an awesome cookbook for yourself- it’s a great way to enjoy delicious food without sacrifice. It’s a great cookbook for a friend on a health journey, too.
Readers will love Stephanie’s humor and the great taste that comes from their hard work.
Aside from the positive user reviews, this has heaps of helpful praise from critics, too.
Why We Chose It
This recipe book has FUDGE in it. FUDGE! We thought that would be a once a year thing at best as keto dieters, but not so. I like to make keto fudge using the Perfect Keto nut butter, which tastes oh so good (and my favorite is the Macadamia vanilla!)
All jokes aside, we loved Stephanie’s real approach to lifestyle changes and were proud of her weight loss success. She’s kept that weight off 5 years and counting!
Keto-Friendly Recipes: Easy Keto For Busy People – Jennifer Marie Garza
For years, author Jennifer Marie Garza struggled with her weight and dieting. She tried out keto, and it was like a magic bullet of success. She lost 55 lbs and has kept it all off!
The recipes in here are all made with delicious, realistic ingredients that will have you coming back for more. The first one we encountered was Keto jalapeno cheese bread, which is made with cheese, eggs, and jalapenos. That’s it!
The many recipes in this book are free of those weird, esoteric ingredients that you sometimes see on cooking blogs. This really makes it easy for you to enjoy keto eating without resorting to giving up or purchasing expensive meal kits or plans.
This book has plenty of great photos you can use to keep track of your progress and compare to see how it turned out.
I think my only complaint about the book is the amount of prep work that goes into creating some of these recipes. The recipes themselves are fast, but the chopping of veggies and other similar tasks can get time-consuming.
Why We Chose It
This is a great standby when it comes to keto cooking. It’s another good one to add to a beginner’s collection, or to a keto veteran who needs to shake up their routine a bit.
There are recipes for everything in here, even a few desserts. Heck, the first few pages feature photographs of cinnamon rolls, and who can’t love a good cinnamon roll!
All in all, it is a colorful, well-written cookbook you will use again and again.
Keto Diet For Two Cookbook by Michael Newman
Do you live with a spouse or partner, have a friend that would like to try keto with you, or just want to try smaller scale recipes out? This is the cookbook for you.
It’s got all kinds of delicious recipes inside that are scaled down to serve two people perfectly.
It’s great for those of you that are married and trying to help your spouse out or have a friend that you’re helping out with their keto journey.
This is a cookbook that promises to empower all people to enjoy keto, and we are inclined to agree.
There are recipes for everyone to enjoy. You can start by taking a look at the smoothies and breakfast chapter, which contain all kinds of goodies.
I personally loved the Creamy Vanilla Keto Cappuccino, which I made with my own spin. I used the Exogenous Ketone Base in Vanilla, which I got as part of my Perfect Keto starter pack.
My friend and I loved the cappuccino, and we wanted another!
For dinner, we tried the Awesome Beef Cheeseburgers. Again, super tasty and just enough food with no waste.
Why We Chose It
It’s got a huge variety of food to choose from, and the recipes are all easy to make. They don’t ask you to buy a lot of those weird, esoteric ingredients that some of us don’t have access to (or the money to spend on such things).
It’s just great for when you want to try a recipe out without tons of waste.
The Easy 5 Ingredient Keto Cookbook – Jen Fisch
This is one we had to include because it just hits all the nails on the head. 4.4 stars? 5 ingredients or less per meal?
Count us in! This is so great for busy families that want to get into the keto lifestyle but don’t have tons of time.
There is even a section devoted to one pot, 30-minute prep meals that are easy cleanup and delicious.
The recipes here are really delicious. We tested out the bacon-jalapeno egg cups, and they did not disappoint. These are all ingredients we can find right in our local supermarkets- just jalapeno peppers, cream cheese, eggs, butter, bacon, and salt/pepper.
It was simple to put together and took about 20 minutes, plus ten minutes of cooling time. They tasted great and were relatively simple to make.
Like other great keto cookbooks, this one has plenty of other chapters devoted to all kinds of keto foods. You can find my favorites, desserts, and sweets on page 139.
Meanwhile, the Side Dishes and Snacks chapter on page 65 will be ideal for those of you heading to football parties this fall or just looking to have a cozy snack on a chilly day.
Why We Chose It
It’s got a great price tag, and it is so easy to make the stuff inside the book. It’s all things you are sure to love and contains all our favorite keto staple meals plus things you probably thought you’d never enjoy again: BLTs, for example, and treats like blackberry-chia pudding.
Southern Keto: 100 Traditional Foods by Natasha Newton
My granny lives in Georgia, so I definitely love my Southern cooking. However, it is not suited for the keto lifestyle most of the time! This was so much fun to bring when I visited my granny, and I was able to show her what I’d learned on the diet and give her a taste of my cooking.
The recipes inside are absolute comfort food, and you will love how it all tastes. And might I add, the book has a near-perfect 5 rating?! Yes, even my grandma, a born and raised lady from the South, loved the food.
One big part of Southern food is cornbread. I decided to make that first and see how my family enjoyed it. It’s very easy to do on keto- just use butter, heavy whipping cream, 3 large eggs, and blanched almond flour plus golden flaxseed meal, baking powder, and salt.
I baked it up, and everyone loved it! The difference was there, but nobody was politely wrapping it in a napkin and tossing it when I wasn’t looking.
Other great recipes you can enjoy here are things like creamy coleslaw, lemon poppyseed loaf, and butter roasted turkey, to name just a few.
Why We Chose It
Many of you likely enjoy these rich foods, and there’s nothing wrong with that. This cookbook was chosen because it shows how we do not have to sacrifice taste to make food that is delicious, healthy, and keeps us in ketosis.
Oh, and it will make your family happy, too!
The Wholesome Yum Easy Keto Cookbook by Maya Krampf
Here we go with another perfectly rated cookbook! It’s a USA Today bestseller, and for a good reason. Everything has ten ingredients or fewer. These recipes are stuff the whole family is going to enjoy.
Even your picky eaters will love how these foods taste. The book features all kinds of unique and fun eats like Taco Stuffed Avocado and classics like Crispy Chicken Tenders. There are breakfast ideas like Butter Coffee Latte, (Great way to use my Perfect Keto MCT oil!) and Almond Flour pancakes.
There are one-pan meals, which are great for busy families, my favorite being the Mini Bell Pepper Nachos.
And yes, desserts are on the menu, too. Salted Pecan Fat bombs have got to be my MVP here, and it reminds me of eating my granny’s pecan pie around Christmas in a weird way. The recipes can be as complicated and fancy or as simple as you like.
This cookbook has everything, and you won’t get bored!
I also like that they have a section devoted to condiments. Who doesn’t love a nice dressing on their salad? And they have a ranch recipe too, which is amazing.
You can even make your own sugar free syrup to go with those delicious keto pancakes!
Why We Chose It
Well, it was rated favorably, for starters. Second, many recipes are included in the cookbook, and this makes it easy to stick with your diet and enjoy yourself along the way. You will love the variety of stuff in here.
The ingredients are easy to find, and it’s really simple and enjoyable to make your own meals for lunch at work, dinner at home, or breakfast on Sundays.
The Keto Diet: A Complete Guide To A High Fat Diet by Leanne Vogel
The author of this book also owns her own website called Healthful Pursuit. This is a new approach to achieving balance in our health, wellness, and overall happiness. Its foundation is the following of the ketogenic diet.
A diet that’s high in fat, argues Ms. Vogel, is helpful in helping our bodies burn up fat. As we get more of our cals from healthy fats and reduce our carb intake, we can burn up our fat, lose that extra weight and end the day feeling strong and full of energy.
No hunger or deprivation here!
The keto diet is great because it really caters to nearly everyone’s taste. In this book, you will not only find the tools needed for a healthy lifestyle, but the recipes to make it happen (and make it easy).
Why We Chose It
We loved this book because it focused more on why keto matters whilst also providing great recipes. This book would be ideal for somebody who wants to get into keto but wants to learn more about the lifestyle benefits.
Leanne is a certified Holistic Nutritionist, and her work has been showcased on programs and blogs like HuffPo and Martha Stewart Living.
